The year is 1959, the last vestige of America’s innocence, just before the Cuban Missile Crisis and the assassination of JFK. During the golden age of Christmases past when Coca-Cola ads feature Santa Claus relaxing from his busy night before an inviting fire enjoying a cold drink. Mel Torme sings about chestnuts roasting on an open fire and a magical feeling envelope young and old like a warm blanket on a frosty night.
